Virgin Pina Colada Recipe

Virgin Pina Colada recipe — The vacation drink that lets you remember your terrible karaoke performance. Made with none. Originally from Puerto Rico.

I'm the responsible friend who still knows how to have a good time. I'll make you feel like you're on a tropical island while keeping your dignity intact for tomorrow's meetings. I'm sweet, creamy, and won't judge you for wearing a Hawaiian shirt in January.

The original Piña Colada was created in 1954 at the Caribe Hilton in Puerto Rico by bartender Ramón "Monchito" Marrero. It took him three months of experimentation to perfect the recipe, and he continued making them at the hotel for 35 years until his retirement.

Born from the alcoholic Piña Colada at Puerto Rico's Caribe Hilton, this virgin version emerged as resorts realized not everyone wanted rum with their tropical paradise fantasy. The mocktail version became a hit when people discovered you could feel beachy without getting boozy.
