Always packed for adventure but never quite sure which port to visit next. Carries both a compass and a Magic 8-Ball, just in case. Swipes left on stability, right on spontaneity.

Sailors historically used lime juice not just to prevent scurvy, but as a primitive GPS system — the vitamin C content could indicate how long they'd been at sea and help calculate their position.

Created in 1960s San Francisco by a bartender whose merchant marine brother kept changing shore leave plans. The drink reflects the eternal sailor's dilemma: stay or go.

Ingredients

• 2 oz navy rum
• 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
• 0.5 oz orange liqueur
• 0.5 oz simple syrup
• 1 pinch sea salt (for rim)
• 1 wheel lime (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Rim coupe glass with sea salt and chill.
2. Add rum, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup to shaker with ice.
3. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
4. Strain into prepared coupe glass.
5. Garnish with lime wheel.
