Sambuca Shot Recipe

Sambuca Shot recipe — The dramatic Italian who sets themselves on fire for attention and somehow makes it charming. Made with sambuca. Originally from Italy.

I'm the theatrical friend who never does anything halfway. Love me or hate me, you'll remember our encounter. I come with my own light show and three coffee beans for good luck because I believe in signs, destiny, and making every moment an event.

The three coffee beans traditionally floated on top represent health, happiness, and prosperity in Italian culture. This ritual is called 'con la mosca' (with the fly) and the beans must be chewed to complete the ceremony properly.

Born in ancient Rome where anise was used for digestive purposes after heavy meals. The modern clear version became popular in the 1800s when Italian distillers perfected the process of creating crystal-clear anise spirits that packed maximum flavor punch.
