Lemonade has been enjoyed since ancient Egypt where it was made with fermented barley.

Ingredients

• 1 cup fresh lemon juice
• 3 cups water
• 0.5 cup granulated sugar
• 2 drops red food coloring
• 2 drops orange food coloring
• 2 drops yellow food coloring
• 2 drops green food coloring
• 2 drops blue food coloring
• 2 drops purple food coloring
• 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

1. In a large pitcher, mix water and sugar until sugar dissolves
2. Add fresh lemon juice to the pitcher and stir
3. Divide the lemonade evenly into 6 glasses
4. Add 2 drops of red food coloring to the first glass
5. Add 2 drops of orange food coloring to the second glass
6. Add 2 drops of yellow food coloring to the third glass
7. Add 2 drops of green food coloring to the fourth glass
8. Add 2 drops of blue food coloring to the fifth glass
9. Add 2 drops of purple food coloring to the sixth glass
10. Stir each glass individually until color is evenly distributed
11. Add ice cubes to each glass
