The most versatile friend you have. Works at the beach, works at a fancy restaurant, works on a Tuesday at home. Never overdresses or underdresses. Just always right.
The origin of the margarita is disputed — at least 10 different people have claimed to have invented it.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Tequila blanco (100% agave)
- 1 oz Fresh lime juice (freshly squeezed only)
- 0.75 oz Triple sec or Cointreau
- Salt (for the rim)
- Ice (for shaking)
- 1 Lime wheel (garnish)
Instructions
- Salt the rim — run a lime wedge around the edge then dip in salt. Only half the rim if you prefer.
- Add tequila, lime juice and triple sec to a shaker with ice.
- Shake hard for 15 seconds.
- Strain into your salted glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with a lime wheel. Drink immediately.
