Kamikaze Recipe

Kamikaze recipe — The fearless shot that goes down fast and leaves no survivors at the bar. Made with vodka. Originally from United States.

I'm the friend who convinces you to quit your job and start that food truck. Zero hesitation, maximum commitment, questionable judgment but somehow it always works out. I don't do things halfway – it's all gas, no brakes, and we'll figure out the landing later.

Despite the intense name, the Kamikaze shot was actually invented in the 1970s at a tiki bar in Hawaii by bartender Tony Lauriano, who wanted to create a shot that was as bold as the Japanese pilots but went down smooth enough to order multiple rounds.

Born in the 1970s Hawaiian tiki scene when bartender Tony Lauriano decided the world needed a shot with an attitude problem. He combined vodka, triple sec, and lime juice into something that hits fast and hard, just like its namesake.
