Irish Slammer Recipe

Irish Slammer recipe — The loud friend who thinks karaoke starts at 9 PM and ends when the bar runs out of whiskey. Made with Irish whiskey. Originally from United States.

Peak extrovert energy with zero volume control and a tendency to start conversations with strangers about their life story. Has never met a celebration they couldn't make louder or a Tuesday they couldn't turn into a Friday. Believes subtlety is just a word other people use.

The Irish Car Bomb (a similar drink) was actually invented in Connecticut in the 1970s and is considered deeply offensive in Ireland due to the reference to The Troubles. Many Irish pubs will refuse to serve it or ask you to leave.

Born in American Irish pubs as a way to combine beer and whiskey in the most dramatic fashion possible. It's the drinking equivalent of someone who thinks louder equals more fun, which honestly, sometimes it does.
