Harvey Wallbanger Recipe

Harvey Wallbanger recipe — The disco ball of cocktails — sweet, flashy, and surprisingly hard to balance. Made with vodka. Originally from United States.

I'm the drink equivalent of that friend who peaked in the '70s but somehow still gets invited to parties. Sure, I'm a little dated and overly sweet, but I know how to have a good time without taking myself too seriously. I float my Galliano on top like a crown because subtlety is overrated.

Named after a surfer who allegedly got so drunk on this cocktail that he kept running into walls at a Manhattan Beach bar in the 1950s. The drink became famous when bartender Donato 'Duke' Antone started serving it to customers who asked for 'that drink Harvey drinks.'

Born in the 1950s at Pancho's Bar in Manhattan Beach, California, when bartender Duke Antone created this drink for a regular customer named Harvey. Harvey had a habit of literally wallbanging after a few drinks, earning both him and the cocktail their memorable moniker.
